🌿 About Us

Koala Support Services is committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred supports in line with the NDIS.
Founded by Donna Hourigan, Koala Support Services is built on a genuine passion for supporting people to live independent, fulfilling lives.
Donna brings a strong background in education, training, and wellbeing, holding a Bachelor of Adult Learning & Development and a Master of Education (specialising in leadership, policy, and change). This experience supports a thoughtful, structured, and person-centred approach to the services provided.
She has worked with individuals with learning difficulties at a primary school level, bringing patience, understanding, and a supportive approach to everyday care. Donna has also developed and delivered the Employment Service Training (EST) program for a Registered Training Organisation (RTO), with over three years of training and assessment experience.
As a qualified hairdresser, Donna offers personalised hairdressing services as part of her supports, helping clients feel confident, comfortable, and cared for.
Koala Support Services works closely with participants, their families, and support networks to provide tailored supports that align with individual goals and preferences. The approach focuses on building capacity, encouraging independence, and supporting people to live fulfilling and meaningful lives.
With a strong focus on health and wellbeing, including experience supporting cholesterol management and living with osteoarthritis, Donna is passionate about promoting an active lifestyle through sport, exercise, and the outdoors.

Koala Support Services also values connection and companionship, including the positive role animals can play in wellbeing — proudly sharing a love for animals, including Donna’s furry friend, Travis 🐶
We value respect, inclusion, and empowerment in everything we do.
